Things are going well here. Turns out the state of Kansas got its act together after all, and I will likely be receiving my paycheck as usual on Friday. That's nice. I'm not a big fan of the legislature threatening to cut funding to state employees. Wankers.

Aaron gets home tonight after some traveling for work, and that is happy. I can't begin to imagine how difficult it must be to be a single parent. Two days of Aaron being gone and I want to climb the walls.

I love these two pictures. He he! Ceci's making such a funny face in the first one, and I can tell she's a quick learner in the second...

Recent happenings at the Bennett homestead.

All sorts of news to report. Very important things... Ceci started eating cereal this week and she is now handily grabbing her feet. Like I said - very important! We fed her barley cereal on Sunday morning and again tonight, and she didn't seem to mind too much. We also took a couple of pictures of her sitting next to Milo. She rightfully seemed terrified of the cat. I actually set her down next to Milo because the blasted cat stole my chair, and I figured she'd scare him away within seconds. However, I was wrong. He just glared at her.

Ceci is very interested in her feet these days. She managed to get ahold of them for the first time about a week or two ago, and now she has figured out that she can rip her socks from her feet and jam them in her mouth. Of course, I am photographing this daily so that I can show future boyfriends when she hits junior high.

The weather has been pretty incredible here... it feels like spring has sprung. I understand that it's only February, but it's hard for me to remember that it's still winter and I'm not supposed to start gardening yet.

Ceci's making a hilarious laughing sound these days... not so much a belly laugh as a "heh. heh. heh." I love it. It's very contagious. We're convinced that she's going to be a snort-laugher when she's all grown up. Gosh, I love a good snort-laugh.

By the way, David Kayser - the resemblance in the first photo is quite striking, barley dribble aside. We were convinced she looked just like Aaron for the first five months, but the tide is swinging towards the Kayser side more recently.
