The Holiday Wind-down

Happy 2008! Aaron and I are back from our whirlwind Tour de Ohio, and it's nice to be back in the Wheat State. Christmas was wonderful, and it was great to see family and friends; tons of whom it'd been forever since we'd seen last. Nonetheless, it was very relaxing to get back to Lawrence and kick back for a few days. It's always nice when Fraser Hall (below) comes into view. You can see it from at least 10 miles away as you're driving in.

We came back to lots of snow - considerably more than there was in Kinsman. There was snow on the ground when we left, and about another 6 inches when we came back! It's been bitter-cold, too, so I doubt it's going to melt away too soon.

We took down the tree yesterday. I hate taking the Christmas tree down so early, especially since it's more my style to leave it up until Valentines' Day, but this one was fast becoming a serious fire hazard. Good-bye pretty Christmas tree. :-(
