Getting the sonogram done was so cool... Aaron and I could see the baby wiggling and be-bopping around! The doctor said that everything looks good, and that we're now about 9 1/2 weeks along. The only crummy part of getting an ultrasound is that they make you guzzle 32 oz. of water an hour beforehand, and then you're not allowed to pee. Then they push on your gut with the little sonogram tool. So, that part is a little sucky, but totally worth it. :-)You see that little "halo" over the baby's head? That's supposedly the yolk sac, which according to my hundreds of pregnancy books, is supposed to go away soon, as the placenta starts to take over. I think it's how the baby gets nutrients before the placenta shows up.
So, the theoretical due date is September 5th, 2008. Mark your calendars!
