Aaron helped me dig up another swath of our tiny yard last weekend so that I could further encroach upon the lawn with my ever-expanding gardens. He only puts up with it because we have a very, very tiny yard, and it's not really possible that I can break the bank with my gardening hobby. I'm about maxed out with garden real estate as it is, so pretty soon I'll just be shuffling plants around. That depresses me a little bit, but it I guess it will be good to be able to work on really making the current gardens beautiful, rather than starting from scratch with a new garden every spring. One day, we'll have an enormous yard, and then Aaron really will have cause to worry. I might be able to convince him that we need a greenhouse...
Ceci is doing great. She has to be the sweetest person ever to live. Her personality is really starting to come out, and personally, I think the word 'sweet' describes it best. She's just such a sweetheart. She's very close to being eight months old already, and I can't believe. Everyone told us while I was pregnant how fast time would go, and it just didn't mean anything until it started ticking by. It's really amazing to me that eight months have gone by this quickly.
She's gotten her first two teeth, and she's doing great with baby food. Aaron and I have made all her food, which has been fun for us. I don't think we would have made it a priority if we hadn't enjoyed it. It's been pretty easy, and we just make big batches and freeze it until we need it. She's also consistently holding her own bottle, which is enormous. I can lay her down while she drinks her bottle, and I can get stuff done. Spectacular development. I think she's still a little ways off from crawling, but it's obvious that she wants to move. I just think its going to take her another couple of months to figure out the coordination. So, I'm guessing she'll be late at crawling, but she does seem motivated to learn. However, she shows zero interest in this rolling over business. She used to roll over from her tummy to back, but now that she likes being on her tummy more, that has stopped entirely. She's never rolled from her back to front, and for all our efforts, she really just doesn't seem to care to learn. Oh well. We're still working with her on it, but it is what it is.
What else... work is going well. The semester is going to be over in less than a month. I'm looking forward to summertime, but this has been a fun semester.
Well... I'll leave you with some pictures of the baby girl:
