What a fun weekend. Aaron and I jumped at the opportunity to go water skiing with a friend yesterday evening (thanks, Bruce!). It was the first time we've ever been on Clinton Lake, and it was a perfect evening for it. Carol Jo watched Ceci for us for the evening (thanks, CJ!!!). This was only the second time I've ever water skiied, and I was able to get up on the water each time yesterday - so that was an acheivement for me! I am definitely paying the price today... :-)

We spent today at Lawrence's city pool - a pretty awesome city pool, at that. Another new experience for both of us! We had a great time. The water was warm, and Ceci was giggling her head off by the time we left. There's also a great splash-area for kids. It seems pretty crazy that we've lived in Lawrence almost 5 years now, and hadn't gone to the pool before... I'm ready to go again tomorrow, so I think that streak is over.

The house-painting is ongoing, and it is looking beautiful. The shade of yellow on the body of the house reminds me of sunshine and fresh butter. The dark red accent color will go up this week, and I am really looking forward to seeing how it looks against the yellow. What I like best about the new paint color scheme is that the house actually stands out from the trees and gardens! Pictures coming soon...
